In IE I see the same error as described above by the OP, and pictured in many places online such as the following: 
In Safari, the results are slightly different: the interface buttons appear along the top, but not the files, and, after a delay, an error appears, as per the following screenshot: 
However it was through this very CRM interface that I created the SP library and saved a test PDF, which can be seen in SP, as shown in the next screenshot:
