We have been experiencing an intermittent issue with appointments “going viral.” Over the last 5 months or so this has only happened to 4 appointments. When this happens a duplicate appointment is found within a few hours, and then several duplicates and the number grows until there are thousands of duplicates for that one appointment. When looking at the time created there may be as many as 30 duplicates created during the same minute.
We do not have any workflows that create appointments and the affected appointments are not set as recurring.
We are on Dynamics CRM 2011 (Partner Hosted) with standard Outlook integration. We are unsure if it is an Outlook issue, Dynamics issue or some combination of the two.
Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
