Thank you Jason.  This gets me really close but not all the way.  The field is only saved to the server upon saving the quote.  Because this will happen behind the scenes, I'd like that if the user creates a quote from an opportunity, that this will be saved for a quote entity as soon as it's changed.  Thus if the user changes nothing when creating the quote, this field will be correct when printing to the mail merge document.  As always, your help is appreciated.
