Hello, I am pretty new to Dynamics CRM 2011. I figured out that whether I have a look to system settings or inside my solution which I am using to customize the system as required, custom fields etc., for some entities I have 2 default public views.
I read some suggestions on how to get rid of one, but none worked for me. Neither can I find the respective entry in customisations.xml as suggested here http://ms-crm-2011-beta.blogspot.de/2012/02/two-default-views-for-entity-in-ms-crm.html. At least I cannot track it down to my views. There are a few but for me they seem not to be related to my view issue.
Nor does this work for me http://blog.didsburydesign.com/2012/04/resolve-multiple-default-views-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011-supported/. In this case the custom view I want to keep as default will switch to public view only and the system view which is second (additional) default still remains default additionally, together with this new fix view. Also I don't see how I can delete a default view when open? I don't have this action to delete it, I only can see Actons where I can copy a link, email a link or see dependencies.
I have to admit that this solution was imported from a different Organization of the same CRM system (where I have exported it as an unmanaged solution previously) in order to save time by setting up all custom fields again (both organisations are test environments). The organization I exported the solution form does not have these 2 default views. Might this be an issue, the system.
Is it actually a good approach to set up all custom fields, views etc. inside an unmanaged solution in a test environment and export/import it afterwards in order to have the same customization level on a different, e.g. productive environment?
