Forum Post: Converting a Lead: Duplicates detected although there are no duplicates

When converting a lead to a contact, we are getting the "duplicates detected" pop up even though there are no potential duplicate records listed.  This happens every time it is attempted to convert a lead to a contact.

 

This is a new issue so it used to work properly and only pop up when there were actual potential duplicates based on our duplicate detection rules.

 

Any thoughts what would be causing this issue?  Although we can still save the record, it is cumbersome to have to go through this extra step every time a lead needs to be converted.

 

Also, I tested converting the lead to an account and that works properly.  The issue only lies when converting to a contact.
