Forum Post: Populate account name based on search string in look up record window

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to automatically populate the account name field in the new account form based on my search string in the look up record window?

For example, if I search for "Account A" and determine that no such account exists, when I click the new button, I'd like the account name field in the new account form to automatically populate with the account name I searched for previously.
